Tor M. Ljung, M.D.

Wilmington Plastic Surgeon Tor M. Ljung, M.D. F.A.C.S. is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and offers reconstructive and cosmetic surgery under the banner of Wilmington Health Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.  Dr. Ljung also operates a cutting edge Laser & Skin Care Center. “We use the latest medical technology, including laser medicine, and combine that with the most modern and safest procedural techniques, resulting in the finest medical care in the field,” says Dr. Ljung. The key to Dr. Ljung’s approach is the personal care he and his staff offer their patients. “We make a special point,” says Dr. Ljung, “of treating each and every one of them like they’re a part of our family.”

Amanda Pringle, Medical Assistant

Amanda serves our patients by taking medical histories, explaining treatment procedures, and preparing them for exams and procedures offered by our practice.  She takes vital signs, helps prepare patients for procedures, provides dressing changes, suture/staple removal, reviews pre-op paperwork with patients, and schedules surgeries and tests. 

Her combined skills as an administrator and medical assistant ensure that our patients have what they need along the way both before and after receiving our services.  Assisting Dr. Ljung, Amanda is here to offer support and personalized care, answering questions and ensuring that each patient’s experience with us is both positive and smooth.

Janet Ring Rice, LPN, CMA & Aesthetician

Janet provides laser hair removal, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Photorejuvenation treatments, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and injectables (including Botox®, Radiesse, Juvederm, and Restylane) for our patients.  She also designs customized skin care programs, educating patients on use of high quality skin care products.  As a Certified Medical Assistant, she completed her aesthetics training at Lenoir Community College.

She received her Associate Degree in Medical Assisting from Pitt Community College, where she received an Academic Excellence Award.  A strong proponent of ongoing training and education, Janet also completed the East Carolina University Mini-Med School and was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.  Prior to coming to our practice, Janet worked as a Certified Laser Technician in Greenville, NC.  She also has six years experience working in the Trauma Intensive Care Unit at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, North Carolina.

Arlene E. Reathaford, CPC

Arlene oversees the insurance billing/accounts receivable for our office, handling appointments and scheduling and receiving calls from patients.  Helping to maintain the smooth functioning of our practice, she interacts with our patients, answering questions and making sure they have the information they need before and after appointments. She also assists patients in all billing-related matters.  A Certified Medical Coder, she has an extensive educational background in medical coding.
